Functional Needs Registry
A functional needs registry is a database of information that is intended to serve as an emergency preparedness tool. This database helps emergency response agencies identify individuals with medical conditions or physical limitations that may interfere with their ability to respond to disasters or other emergencies.
St. Louis City and St. Louis County have these registries and staff at Senior Solutions and Caring Workplace want to help spread awareness and encourage clients and family members to consider whether this tool would be beneficial. If you or a loved one would have difficulty evacuating your home or responding otherwise in the event of an emergency, please consider enrollment. There is no fee for this program.
If you would like more information about the Functional Needs Registry for St. Louis City residents please visit their webpage here. This website can link you to the application as well as frequently asked questions about the program.
If you would like information about the registry for St. Louis County residents please visit their website here or contact the registry coordinator at 314-615-4426.
Participation in such registries is strictly voluntary. Information is only to be used for the purpose of the registry and is to be kept confidential. Enrollment in the program does not guarantee that participants will receive priority assistance in the event of an emergency so participants are strongly encouraged to have individualized emergency preparedness plans in place.
If you or your loved one lives outside of the St. Louis City and County area, please contact your Elder Care Specialist, MSW, at 314-802-5106 or via email at [email protected] for more information about how our program can help.
